It was pouring with rain in Johannesburg this week. With the drought we are experiencing in South Africa, we are thankful for the rain. If you are like me, then as soon as the weather gets murky, my mood gets gloomy ….and I start craving any comforting, bread-like substance.
I knew the chances of me finding something that is gluten and dairy-free that actually taste great would be slim. I would probably need to drive to a niche store or make it myself.
I rushed into the Morningside Shopping Centre where I smelled the heavy aroma of coffee being roasted at Naked Coffee.
I saw freshly baked goodies…Brown sugar banana bread! No animal products, gluten AND dairy-free. Is it possible to even taste good?
Yes, it was divine!
